The Bodhi Lifestye without the Felony

One of my favorite movies is Point Break with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. Yea I know, not a great movie but it is entertaining and....well it's entertaining.  Anyway, in the movie, Patrick Swayze plays a surfer guru slash bank robber slash philosopher named Bodhi.  Bodhi and is gang rob banks so that they can fund their lifestyle of parting and surfing and rebel against the social system that they believe is killing the human spirit.

Now, before I continue, let me say that I don't endorse robbing banks, but like Bodhi and his gang, I do rebel against the status quot daily.  What I mean is that I used to be one of those people that got up before the sun so that I could willing subject myself to the torture that is Northern Virginia traffic so that I could go to a job that I hated but one that paid the bills.  Excitement for me was coming home to sit on my butt in front of the TV and watch the latest episode of American Idol or Survivor so I could go to work the following day and talk about what I had seen with my co-workers.

You really have no choice but to watch those shows.  I mean, you don't want to be looked down upon by the people you work with and be called a looser for not knowing who was just voted off of Survivor.

After engaging in these fascinating conversations, I then turn on my computer and check out those funny emails that make their way around the net.  You know what I'm talking about.  The emails with the cute puppy or the idiot auditioning for the next Jackass movie.

Why do we do this to ourselves?  Probably because that's what we are taught we are suppose to do right?  Talk about killing the human spirit.  Well I have opted out of that lifestyle because it was killing me, literally killing me!

So now I work for myself from home and have been liberated.  Minus the bank robbery thing, I am living the "Bodhi Lifestyle".  LIBERATED I have become and it all started when I decided that life had so much more to offer then traffic jams and American Idol.

Think you can't do it yourself?  Think again.  In today's internet age, making money from home has never been as doable as it is today.  I'm just an average guy and I did, so what's wrong with you.  I say nothing.
